I haven't seen any of the users talk about the full history of SMBX in a video, I've seen many who mention it for 5 or 6 minutes, but don't take the time to make a 40-50 minute video.
I will publish a video narrating the history of SMBX, I will tell you about its beginnings, how Andrew Spinks "Redigit" created the fangame, how Nintendo's demand was, or the different versions that fans were able to offer (SMBX38A, SMBX2 or Reinvent); I will also tell about the peak of the community, how more than 60 users were able to participate in the contests and how they were able to upload their levels to YouTube at the end of each month. Later I will mention the sad oblivion of this fangame, I will talk about how there is no longer much participation in the forum and I will launch some theories about the reasons why SMBX users no longer use the fangame.
SMBX needs a lot of publicity, but unfortunately users no longer take as much interest in the fangame as in its best days, so I will try to make this video a documentary of everything that has happened in these 15 years.
The video will be narrated in spanish, but don't worry, you'll have the option to turn on the english subtitles, provided by me. It'll be a long video, so grab a soda and some popcorn.
This is the trailer for the video, which will be released on Friday, March 21st. I hope that one day SMBX will return to the peak it had so many years ago.
