The second demo for Super Mario: Quest for the Gem Shards is truly a wonderful experience. You'll find yourself traversing through many different stages, each with their own unique themes, gimmicks, flairs, and surprises.
The level design, creativity, is all very well managed in this episode. The creativity sometimes goes so strong, that you may even find yourself feeling like you are in the beautiful Spectra Island yourself! Ah, If only islands were a real place. But not only the environments in this episode are beautiful -- so is the level design, as I mentioned previously. This episode consists of unique levels that are just the right length, with most, if not all of them having their own twist that makes them special in their own way, and makes them stand out from the rest!
So... what do we have from the second demo for this episode?
Beautiful, immersive environments? Check.
Good level design? Check.
Unique flairs and gimmicks that make each level feel different from the rest? Check.
Effort? Check.
Beautifully crafted... wait, I didn't mention there were some amazing cutscenes present in the experience? My bad. Though, instead of telling you what to expect, I urge you to watch them on your own for the most surprise! I will say however that they are all equally as awesome. One in particular had me in absolute awe!
Anway, let me finish what I was going to say.
Beautifully crafted cutscenes? Check.
Overall a wonderful demo with a bright future ahead of it? Check!!!
Lungi clearly put a lot of love into what started as a super simple SMBX 1.4.5. episode, and became something much, much more. Don't spend any more time reading my boring post. Go ahead and download the second demo for Super Mario: Quest for the Gem Shards if you are looking for a fun time!
